A study of how tattoos and textiles visually narrate stories, Canvas of Self explores the embodiment of personal identity and life experience on an intimate canvas — the skin. Through the creation of body adornments from a series of knitted explorations, viewers are invited to wear these stories and put themselves into the shoes of another.
