Seeing Glass Children
Uncovering and supporting the adolescent experiences of Singaporean youths with disabled siblings.
Seeing Glass Children seeks to empathise with Singaporean adolescents growing up with disabled siblings, or siblings with special needs. The project delves into the lives of the children who find themselves overlooked and neglected at home and everywhere else, who wear different hats and step into multiple roles in their families, and who have a great sense of empathy and grit because of their unique growing up experiences. Seeing Glass Children surfaces their stories and pursues ideas that attempt to attenuate their struggles.
