Andrea, fondly addressed as Andie amongst her peers and lecturers alike, is a Filipino creative born and raised in Singapore. Drawn to the quiet joy of turning stories into visual experiences and the way people connect with design, she's always looking to push creative boundaries and forge deeper, personal connections with her audience. Outside of her design work, she also enjoys dancing, engaging with handcrafts, or capturing moments through photography.
Threaded Echoes
Unearthing the stories woven by the hands of Filipino weavers
Like distant echoes that linger in the background, traditional Filipino handweaving is ever-present yet often unnoticed. Threaded Echoes is a traveling pop-up exhibition that amplifies the voices of Filipino handweavers, bringing their stories to the forefront. It reframes their craft, fostering appreciation for their artistry while preserving tradition in a globalised world. Celebrating handweaving as a cultural treasure, the exhibition supports sustainable livelihoods and ensures artisans are recognised, valued, and remembered across the globe.
