Where nostalgia is not remembered, but experienced.
Nostalgia often arises not from one's own past, but through encounters with mediated memory—transmitted via sound, image, and atmosphere. Play ▶ 199X is a sound-based platform that reconstructs nostalgia through contemporary interpretation. Through curated archives and live listening events, it invites young artists to remix traces of the past into collective emotional experiences. By treating memory as something performable and reprogrammable, the project proposes new ways of listening—where nostalgia is no longer remembered, but experienced.
