As a design student, my work explores how digital tools and playful systems can reconnect traditional crafts with younger audiences. By combining gamified learning with mentor-matching, the project aims to transform curiosity into real practice and sustainable engagement. Through prototyping and workshops, the research demonstrates how culture can move beyond passive display and become a living, relevant part of everyday life for the next generation.
Gamified Education for Intangible Cultural Heritage Crafts
Gamified learning platform linking traditional crafts with Gen Z engagement
This project designs a dual-system platform that combines gamified learning for students with mentor-matching tools for artisans. Through interactive narratives, rewards, and feedback, learners move from digital modules into real craft practice, creating a closed loop of cultural engagement. Workshops and surveys confirm that the system can motivate sustained participation, bridge online and offline learning, and open opportunities for young people to connect meaningfully with intangible cultural heritage.
