Jansley Pagadora is a Design Communication student whose work explores memory, care, and cultural identity through playful design. She works across sound, print, and collaborative formats, often inviting others to participate in the process of remembering and connecting. Her graduation project uses game design to spark dialogue between grandparents and their adult grandchildren—those at a life stage where remembering their roots can shape the stories they go on to create.
Pick Up the Phone
Exploring memory and connection with a card game for generations.
A great deal of family stories are passed through informal dialogue, often without documentation. Pick Up the Phone encourages grandparents and adult grandchildren to connect through conversation, drawing, and audio recording, reflecting on shared memories and cultural identity. By incorporating both physical and digital archival methods, it aims to preserve and share these moments, ensuring they are remembered and valued across generations.
