Designing for Sensory Diversity
Towards an Embodied Experience in Furniture For Neurodivergent Inclusion
Sensory overload often limits the self-regulation capacity of adults on the neurodivergent spectrum. When spaces, furniture, products, and experiences are designed without care, they create obstacles that hinder independence and everyday well-being. This project explores how design can instead become a tool for comfort, adaptability, and inclusion, focusing on sensory-friendly furniture that supports neurodivergent individuals in feeling at ease and empowered in their daily lives.
