This research explores how system design can foster happiness and wellbeing among young adults in Chennai. Drawing from cultural, psychological, and historical insights, it builds the Happiology System Model, focusing on self-nurturance and resilience. Through mixed-methods research, including interviews and surveys, it develops design-driven interventions that transform everyday experiences into sustainable habits. The Happy Experience, using thoughtfully crafted Happy Products, helps users engage in joyful, mindful activities that reshape behaviours, support mental health, and create a culture of wellbeing.
