Born and raised in Singapore, Daniel’s practice is defined by an interdisciplinary approach to connecting the dots between people and technology. While his technical foundation spans motion graphics and coding, he has found his true calling within UI/UX design, focusing on the complex relationship between the user and the digital interface.
Dimming the Halo
Dimming the Halo uses visual friction to expose deceptive Singaporean health-halo labelling.
Dimming the Halo is a project that exposes how deceptive 'health-halo' labels in Singapore—like 'natural' or 'low sugar'—manipulate consumer trust. By analysing 600+ labels and using 'anti-design' interventions, this project disrupts habitual consumption. Through visual friction, it strips away polished wellness narratives to demand more critical engagement with everyday packaging.
