Kavya believes the best work happens when disciplines collide. Whether shaping visual identities, building narratives, or sketching late-night ideas, she is drawn to creativity that moves across mediums. Design influences the way she tells stories, and storytelling shapes the way her designs connect. Curious about how things look, feel, and communicate, she is always open to conversations, collaborations, and creative challenges that push ideas further.
Borrowed Voices of Hyderabad
Exploring code-switching as grassroots advocacy in Hyderabad’s multilingual street markets.
This project investigates code-switching as a form of grassroots advocacy within Hyderabad’s street markets. Through shifts between Telugu, Hindi, Urdu, and English, vendors create inclusive communicative spaces that negotiate identity, accessibility, and belonging. Positioned through a narrative approach, the project translates ethnographic research into documentary, archival, and design-based outcomes centred on lived experiences and everyday interaction.
