Reconnecting younger Banjarese generations to culture through contemporary design.
Re/Rooted explores the cultural disconnection experienced by younger Banjarese generations in Singapore due to limited access to language, oral traditions, and cultural knowledge. Grounded in personal narratives, migration histories, and cultural practices, the project examines how Banjarese identity has evolved across generations. Through contemporary visual communication and design experiences, it seeks to make underdocumented cultural references more accessible, engaging, and relevant to younger audiences.
