Driven by caffeine, Danica Boro is someone who loves learning about the world through different lenses, whether it's through the flavours of international cuisine or the ancient tales of world mythology. She finds inspiration in the intersection of history, culture, and modern design. This perspective is shaped by her deep appreciation for global heritage. She has many other interests ranging from exploring UI/UX design to crocheting.
Woven Memory
Preserving Assamese cultural memory through modern geometric patterns.
This project turns Assamese folklore and ritual structures into geometric pixel art using Assamese embroidery motifs in traditional textiles, as a base. By turning folklore and temporary architecture into pixelated motifs, this work saves fading cultural traditions within a visual archive. The work reflects on how tradition and modernisation can be documented through motifs.
