I’m Yiting and I make things out of curiosity! My ideas come from everyday observations, conversations, and things I probably should’ve stopped overthinking. I take inspiration from almost anything around me — people I talk to, or small moments I notice while walking. Growing up, I spent a lot of time making keychains and stickers, anything I could justify as 'just for fun', and that never really stopped! I like collecting things, making a mess, and figuring things out along the way. My work sits between commercial design and controlled chaos!
Lives of Ephemera
Exploring how everyday printed ephemera gains unexpected value through time.
Lives of Ephemera examines how the value of everyday printed ephemera is shaped, lost, and reimagined as it moves through people’s hands and lives. Receipts, flyers, and packaging are designed to be temporary, yet many persist, kept for reasons that have little to do with function. This project explores how people negotiate value in what was never meant to last. Through catalogues, cultural probes, and speculative artefacts, it reveals how ephemera become markers of sentiment, and lived experience.
